Cancer Research UK

"We are delighted the England Footballers Foundation is supporting Cancer Research UK for the next four years. Amongst other activities, the players will fund one of our Cancer Awareness Roadshow units, which visits local communities and provides people with information on how to reduce their risk of cancer and the importance of early detection"

Richard Taylor, Executive Director Fundraising and Supporter Marketing, Cancer Research UK

Children’s Hospices UK

"The partnership with Team England has genuinely made a real difference in three crucial ways. Firstly, and most importantly, to the children and families who have so enjoyed the player visits to various children's hospices. Indeed, five lucky families even met David Beckham at Wembley - an experience they will never forget. Secondly the association with Team England has been invaluable in raising the profile of children's hospices and the unique services they provide. Finally the funds raised directly supporting the delivery of care to children and families across the UK. None of this would be possible without the team at 1966 which skillfully manages to extract maximum benefit for the charities amidst the many other demands that England players have on their time."

Julian Hall, Fundraising Director for Children’s Hospices UK

WellChild

"WellChild was honoured to have been chosen by the players as a partner of the England Footballers Foundation – a relationship which saw us work alongside the team at 1966 for two years. During that time, the enthusiasm, dedication and creativity shown by all at 1966 played a huge part in a very successful partnership which delivered all we had set out to accomplish and more. In particular, the commitment of 1966 to achieving the aims of the partnership, and the adaptability of the team when dealing with the issues of some of the very sick children supported by WellChild, was outstanding."

The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK

"Through the 'There is More to Know' campaign produced by 1966 and the players, we will raise awareness of bowel cancer which will help save lives. Bobby would have been delighted." Stephanie Moore, Bobby's widow and founder of the Bobby Moore Fund.

"With their creativity, passion and drive we developed our most successful bowel cancer awareness campaign for the charity. “There’s Moore To Know” featured a number of the England players and achieved national coverage and mass reach. Written materials were distributed to all GP surgeries along with striking images displayed in taxis, bus shelters, billboards and tube stations. Without the creativity and ambition of the 1966 team this simply would not have been achieved. They have supported all our fundraising events and have become a very special partner for the Bobby Moore Fund." Jools Tait, Director, Cancer Research UK.

Help for Heroes

Help for Heroes was established in 2007 and raises funds for the practical support of members of the Armed Forces wounded in the lineof duty. Bryn Parry CEO & Co-Founder said of the partnership; "We at Help for Heroes could not be more thrilled that The England Footballers Foundation have chosen to support the charity this year -their support will be invaluable, both in terms of raising awarenessas well as essential funds for H4H."
