Terry Byrne
Terry founded 1966 after a long and distinguished career in sport. He worked for many clubs including Chelsea and Watford, whilst also being a key member of England’s backroom staff for seven years. Terry played a key role as David Beckham's personal manager for five years and was Director of Football at the David Beckham Academy, as well as being Director of Footwork Productions - David Beckham's personal company.
Terry Byrne recently moved from his role of Vice Chairman of New York Cosmos to be Executive Vice President of Legends 10. Legends 10 manages the Intellectual Property of Pele.
Terry continues in his role has Chairman of 1966, supported by Vice-Chairman, Terry Ellis.
Terry Ellis
Terry started his career at Watford Football Club where he spent four years working as assistant and senior kit manager, he then moved onto the David Beckham Academy in 2005 as equipment and facility manager. After two successful years he moved on to Chelsea Football Club for a three year spell that included a Champions league Final, FA Cup final, Carling Cup Final and two Community shields.
In January 2010 Terry joined the 1966 team to work across all football related projects including Team England, the New York Cosmos and acts a consultant for various football academies across the world.
Terry Ellis is the Vice-Chairman of 1966.
Freddie Nuttall
Freddie has been with 1966 since inception and was instrumental in the set up of the company. Freddie has worked in the sports industry for 21 years, starting out in cricket where she rose quickly to become Marketing Director of Gloucestershire CCC.
Freddie made the move into football and spent four years managing Team England Football at CSS Stellar. Whilst at CSS Stellar, Freddie established Team England Rugby and moved with the winning World Cup team to join the PRA where she acted as a senior consultant. It was from this position that Freddie joined Terry Byrne to set up 1966.
Jen Barrett
After achieving a First Class Honours degree in Sport Development at Leeds Metropolitan University, Jen started her career at Ketchum, a top ten global PR agency, working on the sports team for brands such as adidas, Carlsberg, Heineken, Kodak, Orange and Pepsi.
After five years at Ketchum Jen travelled South-East Asia and spent time visiting the project work of Right To Play, an international humanitarian organisation that uses sport as a tool for the development of children in disadvantaged areas of the world. On her return from travelling, Jen joined the Right To Play UK office as Sports Relations Manager, managing Athlete Ambassadors and Media Relations.
In 2007 joined 1966 to set up and manage the England Footballers Foundation through which the players donate both their match fees and time to support chosen charity partners. Jen currently works across both the England commercial and charity programmes, working closely with the senior players, their agents and the Football Association including their sponsors and licensees.
Linda Goodship
Linda spent more than 30 years working in the Head Office of a major variety retailer. During this time she recruited, developed and managed one of the largest teams in the company.
In 2009 Linda was approached to help start up a new retail company; consulting on the system set up and data management. Within 18 months 17 stores were open and trading.
Linda joined 1966 in April 2011 as PA to Terry Byrne.
Steve Emmanuel
Steve is the newest member of the team having joined us in March 2010 after a continuous career in the leisure industry, managing leisure centres and heading up the sports development for youth teams in Watford for ten years. Steve joins 1966 from the David Beckham Academy where he was the Assistant Director of football and was part of the original staff that was instrumental in setting up the various programmes that ran at the academy.
Steve has also has ten years of professional academy experience - through Chelsea FC and Watford FC youth academies.
Sunny Grewal
After achieving a BSc and MSc in Accounting at the University of Liverpool, Sunny started his career at 19 Entertainment Ltd, which lists American Idol and Beckham Brand as projects. There, Sunny worked his way up to become Management Accountant for Beckham Brand Ltd and in 2007 added 1966 Entertainment Ltd to his list of responsibilities. It was from then that Sunny forged a close working relationship with Terry and the team, being integrally involved with the various projects undertaken.
In June 2009 Sunny resigned from 19 to undertake Charity work in Mexico. But shortly after Terry Byrne acquired full ownership of 1966 he offered the Accountant position to Sunny, which proved too good to turn down and so he cut short his sabbatical to renew his relationship with the 1966 Team.
Catherine Green
Catherine began her career working in the music industry as a PA for various major record labels. She then moved into artist liaison, touring with the bands whilst also managing their international press and promotion. After 10 years in music, Catherine decided to change direction and became a private PA to various high net worth individuals.
However, entertainment and sport kept calling and after working at a football agency Catherine was approached to work for 19 Entertainment. Two years later, Catherine resigned from 19 and took up the position of PA to Terry Byrne at 1966.
